


Alamo Ranch is a 120-acre, 900,000+ square foot regional retail development currently under construction at the convergence of Loop1604, State Highway 151 and Culebra Road in San Antonio, Texas. The retail development will boast SuperTarget, JC Penney, Lowe’s Home Improvement and over 550,000 square feet of additional retail including Best Buy, PetSmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ross Dress for Less and Marshalls. Alamo Ranch will open in July 2008.
In 2007, San Antonio added 16,000 jobs. Thanks to San Antonio’s well-diversified economy, the City anticipates continued economic growth due to the strength of the government and healthcare industry sectors. Jack Inselman with Metrostudy has predicted that San Antonio will be one of the top 15 active markets in the United States.
San Antonio reported almost 13,000 housing starts in 2007, with median home prices increasing an average of 5.6%. The far West side in particular saw 30% of the homes built in the area and the area subdivisions have said their 2007 performance was on par with their projections.
